Building the Bridge: Engineering the Texas Media + Entertainment Summit

Texas is no longer just signaling interest in the film industry—it’s making a move. With the passage of Texas Senate Bill 22, the state has committed $1.5B in long-term incentives, positioning itself as a serious national production hub. But incentives alone don’t build industries; infrastructure does. At 434 Media, we spent the start of 2026 building that foundation. By merging high-level design in v0 with robust Stripe API integrations, we developed the ticketing and custom package platform for the Texas Media + Entertainment Summit and the Celestial Awards. This project wasn't just about code; it was about creating the digital gateway for the leaders, creators, and policymakers who are defining the next era of Texas media.

Building the Bridge: Engineering the Texas Media + Entertainment Summit

In the world of tech, we often talk about "infrastructure" in terms of servers, latency, and load balancing. But as we saw this month in downtown San Antonio, infrastructure is also the foundation that allows a creative economy to scale.

When 434 Media was tapped to build the ticketing platform for Women in Film & Television Texas (WIFT Texas) and their Texas Media + Entertainment Summit, we knew the project wasn't just about moving digital bits—it was about creating the first point of contact for the executives, creators, and policymakers shaping the future of Texas film.

The Build: Where Code Meets Style While this wasn't the most "technically dense" build in our portfolio, it required a high level of integrity in execution. We needed a solution that felt as premium as the Gunter Hotel and as prestigious as the Celestial Awards at the Tobin Center.

We leaned into a modern "builder" workflow to get from concept to launch:

v0 Wireframing: We used v0 to rapidly prototype the UI. This allowed us to visualize the attendee journey—from the two-day summit deep dives to the custom "Black Tie" packages for the Celestial Awards—ensuring the aesthetic matched the gravity of the event.

Stripe API Integration: To handle the complex ticketing tiers and the high-volume traffic from industry leaders across the state, we implemented a robust Stripe API integration. It wasn't just about processing payments; it was about building a reliable, secure gateway that attendees could trust.

More Than a Transaction: The SB 22 Era The timing of this build is critical. With the passage of Texas Senate Bill 22, the state has committed $1.5B in long-term film and television incentives. Texas is no longer just "signaling interest"—it is positioning itself as a national production powerhouse.

However, incentives alone don't build industries. As Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker noted during her keynote, a thriving media economy benefits everyone—from the caterers to the coffee shops. At 434 Media, we believe that technical infrastructure is a massive part of that "everyone."

By building these digital platforms, we are creating the foundations that allow the Texas film and media industry to actually take advantage of SB 22. We are providing the "talent pipelines" and "cultural trust" necessary to move from a production site to a production hub.

Leading the Direction With three women on our team actively engaged in WIFT Texas—including Stacy Carrizales, who was recently appointed as the Celestial Rising Emissary—434 Media is doing more than just supporting leadership; we are part of it.

We are stepping into the gap where behind-the-camera leadership has traditionally lagged. Whether we are coding a ticketing gateway or co-producing live event transitions, our goal is to ensure women are present where it counts.

The next era of Texas media won’t be defined solely by who secures the incentives—it will be defined by who is prepared to build the systems that sustain them.
